Meet our RAD Team

    • Ronele M. Dotson

      Ronele M. Dotson, APR, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno and received her certification as an Accredited Public Relations Professional in 2002 from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). With her 24 years of public relations experience, Ronele brings diversity and a wealth of opportunities to clients in various industries with strong emphasis on travel and tourism communications.

      After earning her degree, she worked her way up through to management positions at two of Reno’s top advertising agencies. She then founded her own highly successful firm in 2002. Ronele’s strength is her innovative strategic planning, backed by her strong customer relations skills and client support as well as crisis communications experience.

      Among Ronele’s portfolio of achievements is her work in the tourism industry, specifically the promotion of the Reno-Tahoe region on a regional and national level, as well as experience in crisis communications. Ronele played an integral role in managing the local response to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks where she worked side-by-side for three days with the Reno-Tahoe International Airport’s public affairs manager assisting in all areas of response. She is also trained in public information and has been involved with the media relations efforts for several regional crisis situations including the flood of 1997 and the Sierra Chemical Explosion.

      Work completed on behalf of Ronele’s clients has garnered her several Silver Spike Awards of Excellence in Public Relations Programming from the PRSA Sierra Nevada Chapter as well as ACE Awards from the local chapter of AMA.

      Currently Ronele serves on the National Public Relations Society of America Board of Directors. She has been a member of the Sierra Nevada Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) since 1994 serving in various capacities on the board through December 2006 when she completed her three year board position as the Chapter’s National Assembly Delegate. Ronele served as one of the 151 senior practitioner judges for the annual Silver Anvil Awards competition in New York City in 2007, 2009 and 2012. The Silver Anvils are the profession’s highest honor, recognizing exemplary public relations programs that incorporate the best practices of research, planning and execution to deliver measurable results. Ronele is a member of the AMA, previously serving on the board.

      Born and raised in Reno, Nevada, Ronele is a fourth generation Nevadan with family roots in Ely, Elko and Fallon and has developed a taste for our regional adventure lifestyle.

    • Mary-Sarah Kinner

      With more than 13 years of experience in political communications and public and governmental relations, Mary-Sarah has worked with Members of Congress, Governors and their staffs, chief executives, members of corporate and non-profit boards of directors and local, regional and national media to pitch and secure media coverage on a wide variety of topics.

      Mary-Sarah began her career in Washington, D.C., at the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). From 2004 to 2005, Mary-Sarah worked her way up from communications assistant to deputy press secretary for policy and served as a liaison to House Republican Leadership staff. During the 2006 election cycle, Mary-Sarah served as press secretary at the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

      Following two political cycles, Mary-Sarah served as deputy press secretary on the minority staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, chaired by Senator Richard Burr (R-NC).

      In November of 2009, Mary-Sarah joined then-gubernatorial candidate Brian Sandoval’s campaign for Governor of Nevada as communications director. After the successful campaign, Mary-Sarah joined Governor Sandoval’s office as his press secretary helping craft, implement and communicate the Governor’s positions on issues from education reform to health care and economic development. In February 2013, Mary-Sarah was promoted to communications director where she coordinated with state agency public information officers and managed rapid-response messaging for the administration.

      In March of 2014, Mary-Sarah joined StudentsFirst, a Sacramento, California-based nationwide education reform organization as deputy national press secretary. From July 2014 through November 2014, Mary-Sarah served as communications director on Neel Kashkari’s campaign for California Governor.

      In January 2015, Mary-Sarah joined a Nevada statewide lobbying firm as Vice President of Communications, followed by positions at the City of Reno and at a local statewide marketing communications agency as Public Relations Manager.

      A native of Lewiston, New York, Mary-Sarah is a proud 2004 graduate of Nazareth College of Rochester. Mary-Sarah has been a resident of Nevada for nearly eight years and can’t imagine living anywhere else.

    • Allyson Bolton

      President and Founder of A-Typical Consulting & Events  Allyson Bolton is a woman of many passions. She’s a Planner. She’s a Marketer. She’s a Wife. She’s a Mom. Allyson regularly consults with RAD for a variety of our clients, handling strategic planning, special project management and campaign implementation. She holds a B.A. from Baylor University as a Communication Specialist, focusing in Communication Studies and Film Digital Media and also holds a minor in Public Relations.

      A west coast girl at heart, Allyson arrived in Reno with a strong New York public relations agency background, particularly in the tourism and lifestyle industries. Working directly with tourism clients such as the countries of Colombia and Denmark, casino properties including Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and Hotel and lifestyle clients like the Wines of Provence, Allyson’s portfolio ranges from media relations and reputation management to social media marketing and special event planning. Her career has landed her clients in the pages of Food & Wine and Travel & Leisure as well as landing herself on the streets of New York City conducting marketing stunts for her clients.

      Allyson has a “think big” attitude while maintaining a focus to detail and client service. Her diverse background in film, photography, graphic design, writing and client communication brings an extra level of service to the RAD team.

      Outside the office, you’ll find Allyson planning her next adventure with her husband and dog, Coco. She’s an outdoor enthusiast, avid traveler, runner and lover of wine and coffee.

    • Daniel Amaya

      Daniel is RAD’s newest team member. He is a graduate from Biola University where he earned his degree in Public Relations with an emphasis in Crisis Management. Daniel has a passion for people and uses that to drive him in his work.

      He is motivated by telling people’s stories and being the voice for others. During his time at Biola, Daniel was involved with the university’s student crisis management team. He also spent time as an intern with LA Clippers where he was involved in the community relations department. Daniel has worked on various projects for non-profit organizations working on event marketing.

      When he is not working, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle, and his dog Meeka. Daniel loves all sports, especially the Lakers, Dodgers, Eagles, and Sharks. He is a foodie who enjoys trying new foods and will never turn down a good cup of coffee.

    • Dotti Gallagher

      Dotti Gallagher, APR, Fellow PRSA, is thrilled to be an adjunct member of the RAD team, where she supports a variety of the agency’s clients as Account Director and PR Strategist. Dotti earned her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in communications from the University of Nevada, Reno. She received her certification as an Accredited Public Relations Professional (APR) in 1997 from PRSA and was inducted into the organization’s College of Fellows in 2017, in recognition of her strategic leadership and contribution to the PR profession.

      Dotti has spent her career inspiring others through her creativity, relentless energy, and commitment to quality. She has held PR and marketing leadership roles with U.S. Bank, TrueBlue, Inc., The Estipona Group and most recently as solopreneur and principal at Dotti Gallagher Consulting. Her specialties include PR planning, brand and marketing strategy and internal/external communications. Her expertise has engaged audiences with clients and her vision has brought companies into the digital age.

      Dotti loves to work – but she also loves to play. Away from the office you will find her skiing, running, hiking, cycling or hanging out at the gym. She does not sit still!

    • Deny Dotson

      Deny serves as RAD's business development director and operational strategist.

      Deny works full-time as the Tourism Director for the Virginia City Tourism Commission (VCTC), a role he's had since 2011. Prior to joining the VCTC, Dotson worked for Storey County as the Director of Community Services for four years where he managed all of Virginia City’s special events from development to implementation as well as the Parks and Recreation Department, website management and served as the county’s Public Information Officer and liaison to all of Storey County’s non-profit organizations. 

      Previously, Deny was a Sales/Account Manager for Anheuser Busch, Earthgrains and Sara Lee. Throughout his 20 plus years in the baking industry, he has had the fortune of being involved in several national marketing and advertising campaigns, new product and market introductions and account management including several regional and national customers. He credits this extensive sales and marketing experience for establishing the foundation for his current position with Storey County and the visitor’s bureau. 

      Dotson has lived in Nevada since 1999. He served as a Storey County School Board Trustee for eight years. In addition, he continues to sit on the Storey County Nevada Department of Wildlife Advisory and Historic Fourth Ward School Board(s). He also enjoyed coaching basketball in Virginia City…which he did for 10 years including leading the Muckers to a state title in 2005. Dotson is a avid hunter and wildlife conservationist exploring the back country of his home state as well as California, Colorado and Wyoming.

    • Cabo and Lil : Field Team

      "Lil" our rambunctious Labrador Retriever, joined the team in January 2017. With a keen sense and insatiable curiosity, she takes the lead when it comes to showing everyone what it means by all work and no play...ya right!

      "Cabo" on the other hand likes to think he's a dog...which is just perfect for heading up our creative team ;)
